WCBA 10th Blue had an outstanding weekend at the Big Shots Certified Tournament in Atlanta.  They went 4-0 in the Gold Bracket.  In the semi-finals they knocked off Big Shots Elite 52-48.  Taj Thompson knocked down 2 clutch free throws with seconds remaining to extend the lead to 4. Ben Zemonek led all scorers with 17.  Taj Thompson added 16 points.  In the finals, 10th Blue knocked off the powerhouse AAU program, Douglas Brothers, 61-51.  Ben Zemonek, Taj Thompson, and Aaron Burress led a balanced scoring attack with 12 points each.

 

Ben Zemonek was named MVP of the 16U Gold Bracket.  He averaged 16 points in the 4 games.  Taj Thompson averaged 12 points.

 

10th Blue takes their 12-2 record to Charlotte May 3-4 for North Carolina AAU Division 1 pool play.
